Director Of Accounting

Overview

• Lead the accounting and controllership function at a growing healthcare technology company.
• Ensure financial reporting integrity, accuracy, and timeliness in compliance with US GAAP standards.
• Collaborate with Finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to support organizational growth.
• Drive automation and process improvements to modernize finance infrastructure.
• Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements and reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
• Design and maintain scalable internal controls and risk management frameworks.
• Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax advisors, and valuation providers.
• Support strategic projects and initiatives through pragmatic accounting guidance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes ensuring audit-ready financial reporting.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures in compliance with US GAAP.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reconciliations for leadership and external stakeholders.
• Design scalable internal control environments and mitigate accounting risks proactively.
• Drive automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support contracts, growth programs, and strategic initiatives.
• Provide accounting guidance to non-finance stakeholders to build scalable operational processes.
• Maintain financial data integrity and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience, with 10 years preferred, in accounting roles.
• Strong expertise in US GAAP compliance and technical accounting matters.
• Experience with NetSuite and finance systems automation preferred.
• Proven ability to lead accounting operations in high-growth environments.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
