Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Greet patients warmly and escort them to appropriate clinical areas for their appointments.
• Obtain vital signs, clinical information, and perform necessary tests such as UA functions.
• Administer injections, perform phlebotomy, and assist physicians during exams and procedures.
• Handle patient calls, including pharmacy inquiries, ensuring timely responses and resolution.
• Maintain exam room cleanliness, stock supplies, and ensure instruments are sterilized as needed.
• Document all patient interactions and clinical activities accurately in medical records.
• Assist with specialized procedures such as NSTs and ultrasounds, as required.
• Participate in clerical duties, distribute educational materials, and support administrative tasks.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical experience, preferably in an OB/GYN setting.
• Certification in IV insertions is mandatory for this role.
• High School Diploma or GED is required as a foundational educational qualification.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective patient interaction.
• Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced healthcare environment is critical.
• Pleasant and friendly demeanor when interacting with patients and colleagues is a must.
