Hedge Fund Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead day-to-day execution of client engagements delivering outsourced CFO, financial reporting, and accounting services.
• Oversee financial reporting processes including general ledger activity, reconciliations, and reporting packages.
• Review NAV calculations, capital accounts, management company accounting, and related financial reporting.
• Provide financial leadership support including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial modeling.
• Serve as a primary liaison to clients, auditors, administrators, and other professional service providers.
• Support clients in strengthening financial infrastructure, reporting frameworks, and operational processes.
• Supervise and mentor team members, ensuring technical accuracy and professional development.
• Assist with onboarding new clients and supporting operational transitions effectively.

Hedge Fund Accounting Manager Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting or financial management; 8 years preferred.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, NAV calculations, and capital account management.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage client relationships effectively.
• Experience with investment management accounting and operational processes is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and reporting standards is advantageous.
