Mental Health Clinician Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide individual, family, and group counseling services tailored to patient needs.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments, mental status exams, and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare personnel for integrated patient care.
• Document patient services in medical records and ensure compliance with standards.
• Educate staff on psychosocial issues related to patient care.
• Identify and address child welfare concerns in coordination with relevant authorities.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to organizational initiatives.
• Supervise social work interns and attend required supervisory courses.

Mental Health Clinician Job Requirements

• Master of Social Work degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensure in New York State as LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Psychologist.
• Demonstrated experience with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and elderly.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills for effective patient care.
• Experience in healthcare settings is preferred.
• Proficiency in EPIC systems is advantageous.
• Bilingual Spanish skills are highly desirable, with additional compensation provided.
