Estimator

Summary:

Excellent opportunity for a senior estimator to join one of the leading general contractor in Columbus with a focus on multifamily / affordable housing projects. With an annual revenue north of $400M+, they offer a collaborative culture and an abundance of growth opportunity.

Duties:

• Experience in estimating for larger multi-family, apartment, and senior housing projects, including HUD and OHFA.
• Familiarity with current market and unit pricing.
• Proven ability to lead, create, and finalize comprehensive project estimates.
• Skilled in researching specified project materials and identifying suitable alternatives as needed.
• Capable of developing value engineering concepts and their associated costs.
• Proficient in creating preliminary preconstruction schedules.
• Understanding of project staffing and general condition requirements.
• Strong relationships with owners and architects.
•  Established relationships with subcontractors.
• Ability to conduct detailed on-screen takeoffs.
• Experience in setting up qualified subcontractor bid lists and actively soliciting bids from subcontractors.
• Skilled in analyzing bids and scopes of work.
• Proficient in preparing presentation documents.
• Capable of presenting cost information to clients in a professional manner. 

Qualifications:

• Preferred: B.S. in Construction, Engineering, or a related field
• Required: Multifamily Housing, Affordable Housing, Senior Living
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
