Job Description
Duties:
- Support and process payroll for various multiple legal entities and pay groups
- Partner with HR and Payroll colleagues to provide quality customer service
- Administer payrolls in accordance with company policies, union contracts, and legal requirements
- Ensure payroll data is input accurately, completely, and timely
- Reconcile payrolls both prior to and following processing. Coordinate payroll changes, adds, and employment deletions as needed.
- Administer garnishments, run reports in ADP and G/L application and distribute as necessary, and ensure timely payment/funding of union dues
- Prepare and reconcile data for benefit funding, as needed
- Partner with Finance colleagues to resolve any General Ledger issues
- Ensure timely and accurate updating of payroll records for special payments, gross-ups, etc.
- Review and distribute ADP funding notices (for net payroll and payroll taxes) to the various businesses accounting departments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
- Must have in-depth knowledge of and familiarity with Payroll software, Microsoft Word, and Advanced Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, pivot tables a must).
- Requires a minimum of 3 years of payroll experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must have the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data
- Prior experience with Namely, Bill.com, and Quickbooks is a plus
- Ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and stay focused
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
