Job Description
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Fill medication orders accurately and prioritize those more urgent
- Retrieve and deliver medication in a timely fashion
- Maintain stock levels and inventory in the pharmacy
- Review and verify prior authorization requests under the medical benefit
- Use of pharmacy systems to obtain patient & drug information
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance
- Report any errors immediately and adhere to company policies
- Handle telephone calls and insurance questions
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- National certification from an accredited pharmacy technician certification program
- Ability to multitask
- Must have excellent and compassionate customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong verbal communication and attention to detail
