Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Account Reconciliation: Conduct detailed account reconciliations to verify the accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording and classification of all transactions.
  • Financial Operations: Collaborate closely with operations teams to accurately identify and record financial entries related to customer payments and job-level costs.
  • Audit Support: Assist with both internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries.
  • Financial Planning: Work with the finance team on budgeting and financial forecasting, offering variance analysis and improvement recommendations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements in financial operations using SAP and other relevant applications.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct financial analyses to aid senior management decision-making.
  • Subsidiary Management: Develop and prepare financial statements for joint ventures and subsidiaries, analyzing fluctuations and managing journal entries as per agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification or candidacy preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in accounting, preferably with a background in public accounting or relevant industry experience such as construction.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or similar accounting software and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Knowledge: Strong grasp of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations. Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Capabilities: Excellent analytical skills to handle complex financial data, with strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting financial data clearly and concisely.
