Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • At least 10 years of diverse accounting experience, including a minimum of 5 years in construction and/or manufacturing cost accounting.
  • Expertise in Office 365 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in managing ERP systems tailored to construction or manufacturing industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Hourly Payroll Processing:
    • Oversee and reconcile weekly payroll hours using Assignar, collaborating with operations to identify and correct discrepancies.
    • Prepare and upload hours into Acumatica.
    • Execute bi-weekly payroll processing through ADP, including recording transactions and entries in the general ledger.
  • Project Accounting:
    • Manage and monitor project costs including labor, materials, subcontractors, and other expenses.
    • Update and maintain employee records in Acumatica, including rate changes and address updates.
    • Collaborate with project managers to compare actual vs. budgeted revenue and costs.
  • Month and Year-End Closing Activities:
    • Handle accruals for direct project costs and review percentage of completion for accuracy.
    • Reconcile and adjust inventory balances in the general ledger, maintaining detailed reports in Excel.
    • Record various other entries such as depreciation and PTO accruals.
  • Purchasing Support and Accounts Payable Assistance:
    • Maintain vendor files and process approved purchase orders as a backup to the purchasing department.
    • Resolve discrepancies between invoiced quantities and purchase order receipts.
  • Annual Inventory Oversight:
    • Participate in the annual physical inventory count and ensure reconciliation with the general ledger.
