    Global Firm with offices in Houston, TX are seeking a Benefits Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a large population and will be have strong communication skills.

Job Description

Hours: 9 am – 5 pm

Salary: $90-125k + bonus

Duties:

  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits enrollments, terminations, and changes in alignment with payroll cycles.
  • Monitor benefits programs to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, such as ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA.
  • Prepare and submit required filings, including Form 5500, Form 1095, and other regulatory documentation.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding benefit plan options, eligibility, and claim issues.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide guidance on plan details and enrollment processes.
  • Liaise with benefits providers and vendors to resolve issues, improve processes, and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Work closely with HR, Payroll, and Finance teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of benefits programs.
  • Conduct regular reviews of benefits programs to assess effectiveness, competitiveness, and cost-efficiency.
  • Participate in benefits surveys and analyze industry benchmarks to recommend improvements or adjustments to existing plans.
  • Coordinate annual benefits open enrollment, including preparing materials, hosting informational sessions, and managing the enrollment process.
  • Develop and distribute communication materials to educate employees on available benefits and any program changes.
  • Maintain accurate records of benefits enrollment and utilization within HRIS systems.
  • Analyze data and trends to support decision-making and identify opportunities for program enhancement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration or a similar role.
  • Certification in benefits or human resources (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP).
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and benefits management systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
