Rehabilitation Professional

Responsibilities:

1. Assist Physical Therapists: Work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans.
2. Patient Assessment: Help assess patients' conditions and report findings to the Physical Therapist.
3. Exercise Programs: Assist patients with exercise programs prescribed by Physical Therapists, including gait training, balance, and range of motion exercises1.
4. Hands-On Therapy: Perform hands-on therapy such as stretching or massages1.
5. Documentation: Document patient progress and communicate with other healthcare professionals as needed2.
6. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and activities at home2.
7. Maintain Treatment Area: Ensure the treatment area is clean and organized2.

Qualifications:

• Education: Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, typically a 2-year associate degree2.
• Licensure: Pass a licensure examination and meet any state-specific requirements for continuing education2.
• Skills: Knowledge of current best practices in physical therapy, familiarity with electronic medical record systems, and experience working in a physical therapy setting
