Job Description

Title: Social Media Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the organization’s goals.
  • Manage daily social media operations, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement across LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Create compelling digital content (graphics, videos, and copy) tailored for different platforms and audiences.
  • Oversee paid and organic social media campaigns, ensuring optimal audience growth, engagement, and conversions.
  • Monitor social media trends, platform updates, and analytics, providing insights and recommendations for strategy improvements.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and community members to enhance engagement.
  • Assist in event marketing efforts and provide on-site social media support for local events and trade shows.
  • Support administrative and reporting tasks as needed to optimize marketing operations.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience managing social media in a nonprofit or corporate setting.
  • Strong background in social media strategy, content marketing, audience engagement, and analytics.
  • Proven experience with paid social media campaigns and performance tracking tools.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills tailored for digital audiences.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of analytics tools and ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to think critically, strategically, and creatively while managing multiple projects.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
