Job Description
Title: Central Scheduler
Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments with precision and timeliness, minimizing cancellations and reschedules
- Conduct outbound calls to patients, promoting appointment adherence and reinforcing the value of ongoing care
- Clearly communicate scheduling details and updates to patients, addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure provider availability is maximized and patient needs are aligned
- Support rescheduling needs quickly to maintain continuity of care
- Achieve daily and weekly performance metrics related to scheduling accuracy, productivity, and patient response
- Handle patient objections with a solution-oriented approach while reinforcing the benefits of the care model
- Use scheduling tools and software to maintain up-to-date patient and appointment records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in scheduling, call center, sales, or customer support roles
- Comfortable working remotely with reliable internet (min. 3.8Mbps down / 3.0Mbps up; latency <60ms)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with patients
- Tech-savvy, with familiarity in scheduling platforms or CRMs preferred
- Healthcare or medical scheduling experience strongly preferred
