Job Description
Job Title: Mammography Technologist
Locations: Metro Denver, Southern Colorado, Northern Colorado
Job Type: Full-time Day Shift
Responsibilities of the Mammography Tech:
• Perform high-quality mammographic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity throughout the imaging process by communicating effectively and demonstrating compassion.
• Position patients correctly and operate imaging equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
• Maintain accurate patient records and complete necessary documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Verify patient identification and review medical history for contraindications prior to imaging procedures.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, reporting any malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to all regulatory and safety guidelines, including those set by MQSA, ACR, and HIPAA.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and healthcare providers to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to support accreditation standards.
• Stay current with continuing education and best practices in mammography and radiologic technology.
Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
• Current registration as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with certification in Mammography (M) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) — or eligible candidates may hold ARRT-R with a State Provisional Mammographer license and obtain ARRT-M certification within 12 months of hire.
