Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced network and communications engineer to support and enhance a global enterprise infrastructure. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of LAN/WAN, wireless, and voice systems across multiple regions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to managing a 24/7 operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced support for enterprise networking and voice systems, including installation, configuration, and performance optimization.
  • Respond to incidents and service requests in accordance with defined SLAs, ensuring thorough documentation and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with vendors during deployments, upgrades, and issue resolution.
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve complex network and voice-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, including topology diagrams and configuration records.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support global infrastructure operations.
  • Lead or contribute to infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business needs.

Technical Expertise Required

  • 8–10 years of experience managing enterprise-scale network environments across multiple locations and data centers.
  • Strong background in Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, and wireless.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco VoIP systems, including configuration, call routing, and unified communications platforms.
  • Proficiency in protocols and technologies such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VPNs, VLANs, and 802.1x.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware), cloud networking (e.g., Azure), and security appliances (e.g., Palo Alto).
  • Knowledge of enterprise collaboration tools and telephony platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, or equivalent.
  • Experience with SAN switching, FCoE, and data center networking.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and time zones.

Work Requirements

  • Availability for after-hours support and scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Occasional domestic or international travel may be required.
