Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Support various HR functions including benefits, credentialing, training, recruitment, and compensation
- Assist with employee inquiries about health benefits, retirement plans, and leaves of absence
- Administer employee leaves (FMLA, PFL, Military, Unpaid LOA) and workers’ compensation claims
- Ensure regulatory compliance with employment laws including I-9, OSHA, and EEO standards
- Coordinate with benefit carriers to ensure timely enrollments and terminations
- Participate in benefits presentations and support annual open enrollment
- Enter and update employee data in the HCMS (HRIS)
- Run standard and custom HR reports for internal stakeholders
- Conduct exit interviews and support engagement initiatives (e.g. Service Awards, Spirit Week)
- Assist with recruitment efforts and attend job fairs as needed
- Collaborate with Communications to post HR content and updates
- Perform other HR administrative tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or at least 2 years of prior HR experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable handling sensitive employee data with discretion
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills; able to interact with employees at all levels
- Experience with HRIS or HCMS systems is a plus
- HR benefits knowledge is helpful but not required
