Job Description

Our client is a respected architecture and design firm specializing in community-focused projects and is seeking a Project Architect to join their growing team. This firm has a strong portfolio across education, civic, cultural, and hospitality sectors, and is known for delivering thoughtful, context-driven design solutions that make a lasting impact.

Position Overview:

The Project Architect will be responsible for leading the technical development and coordination of architectural projects from design through construction. This is a great opportunity for an architect who is passionate about creating spaces that serve and uplift communities while collaborating in a highly creative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the production of architectural drawings and documentation throughout all project phases
  • Coordinate with consultants, engineers, contractors, and internal design teams to ensure technical excellence and design intent
  • Participate in client presentations, meetings, and design reviews
  • Ensure code compliance, technical detailing, and quality control
  • Support construction administration through RFIs, submittal reviews, and site visits
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to project planning and design discussions

Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
  • 6+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record as a Project Architect
  • Licensure preferred or actively pursuing licensure
  • Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with SketchUp, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD is a plus
  • Strong understanding of building codes, construction detailing, and documentation
  • Experience with education, civic, or hospitality projects is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
