Key Responsibilities:
- Review, approve/deny, and communicate outcomes for all leave of absence requests.
- Ensure compliance with FMLA, NY Paid Family Leave, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Workers’ Compensation.
- Serve as the main contact for employees and managers regarding leave policies and claims.
- Coordinate with HR teams, Benefits, Payroll, Occupational Health, and external vendors.
- Administer leave-related payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Provide guidance and support on leave-related issues and benefits.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of payroll experience
- Experience with leave administration and knowledge of relevant laws (FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, COBRA).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with HRIS (Lawson preferred).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
