Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee monthly accounting close procedures
  • Oversee and maintain Accounts Receivable processes
  • Update and manage Accounts Payable
  • Classify sales tax records and file quarterly payments
  • Record and monitor budget transfers
  • Summarize and maintain records for business licenses and gross receipts
  • Prepare journal entries for cash accounts, including loans, taxes, bank fees, and 401(k) deductions
  • Reconcile and manage credit card transactions
  • Prepare subcontractor 1099s and handle other year-end IRS requirements
  • Produce monthly reconciliations, financial statements, and all supporting documentation
  • Generate cash flow projections as needed
  • Serve in a secondary support role as necessary across finance functions

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of related accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
  • Proficiency in account reconciliations, journal entries, account coding, and financial reporting
  • Experience with account management and adjustments
  • Familiarity with accounting systems and Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (preferred)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High ethical standards and ability to work independently or in a team
