Automation Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Project Manager to join our Biotherapeutics research team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a new automation vision, working closely with instrument vendors, and ensuring the seamless integration of biotherapeutics lab instruments such as liquid handlers, Tecan, Hamilton, and others. This role requires a deep understanding of biotherapeutics research and hands-on experience with lab instruments, as well as proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA and Lucid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing, ensuring lab projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Manage instrument repairs, startups, shutdown, and equipment maintenance for lab moves in between buildings, etc.
• Utilize project management tools like JIRA and Lucid to track project progress, manage tasks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including research scientists, IT, and engineering, to ensure successful implementation and adoption of automation solutions.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of automation systems, making necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills:

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing automation projects within a biotherapeutics research environment.
• Strong knowledge of biotherapeutics lab instruments, including liquid handlers, Tecan, and Hamilton.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA and Lucid.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP or other relevant project management certification.
• Experience working with external vendors and managing vendor relationships.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards in biotherapeutics research.

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
