Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage the Medical Telemetry unit in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Ensure high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Oversee a 32-36 bed unit with CNCs supporting leadership duties.
  • Work closely with the Director of Nursing to align unit goals.
  • Utilize advanced technologies and practices in a Joint Commission-certified facility.
  • Contribute to a Comprehensive Bariatric Center of Excellence.
  • Join a team recognized for excellence in stroke and chest pain care.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Organize and manage patient care functions to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Lead staff education initiatives to promote continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and enhance processes for quality care and satisfaction.
  • Act as a role model for excellence in nursing leadership.
  • Interact with medical staff to improve patient care strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
  • Plan and direct nursing care in alignment with administrative policies.
  • Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care planning.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Current Florida RN license or recognized Compact Licensure.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start date.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of start date.
  • Minimum 3 years of acute care hospital experience; 5 years preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a charge nurse or nursing management role.
  • Strong leadership and critical thinking skills for patient care planning.
  • Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
