Overview

  • Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Medical Assistant in Orlando, FL.
  • Provide essential support to APRNs visiting patients in their homes.
  • Engage with patients to promote lifelong well-being and health.
  • Perform administrative and clinical tasks in primary care facilities.
  • Collaborate closely with providers and administrative assistants.
  • Work within defined parameters while exercising prioritization and timing.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Support APRNs in delivering care to vulnerable patients in their homes.
  • Discuss symptoms and input information into electronic medical records.
  • Perform clinical duties including medication and vaccine administration.
  • Collaborate with administrative assistants to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adhere to company policies and practices with opportunities for interpretation.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and maintain positive patient engagement.
  • Participate in the company's Tuberculosis screening program.
  • Travel locally as required, with mileage reimbursement provided.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Arts (AA) degree or equivalent educational background.
  • Successful completion of MA training program or certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience, with 2 years preferred.
  • CPR certification and patient-facing role compliance.
  • Experience in phlebotomy and medication/vaccine administration preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Value-Based Care, HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS.
  • Ability to work on-site Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
