Overview
- Lead administrative operations at a pediatric medical center, ensuring compliance with AHCA, OSHA, CMS, and Florida Health Department guidelines.
- Supervise both administrative and clinical staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Develop and implement patient retention programs to enhance service quality and satisfaction.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and represent the medical center at internal and external committees.
- Monitor and improve processes related to patient scheduling, billing, and medical record maintenance.
- Provide ongoing staff training for medical practice systems and ensure adherence to HEDIS measures.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to establish goals and policies for cost-effective patient care.
- Develop alliances with referring providers, social service organizations, and community outreach programs.
- Serve as the HIPAA Privacy Officer, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage daily clinic operations, including patient scheduling, inventory management, and petty cash oversight.
- Supervise administrative and clinical staff, fostering teamwork and efficient patient flow.
- Facilitate issue resolution with patients, health plans, and corporate offices.
- Monitor provider referral coordination processes and ensure timely billing of services.
- Develop systems for administrative continuity of care for critically ill patients.
- Coordinate and manage marketing events to promote the practice.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare Risk Adjustment scores and HEDIS measures.
- Provide patient education and ongoing staff training for medical practice systems.
- Represent the business unit at committees and establish strategic relationships with providers.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; bilingual candidates highly preferred.
- Minimum of five years of healthcare experience, including two years as Office Manager.
- Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills essential.
- Proficiency in analytical thinking, critical decision-making, and building strategic relationships.
- Experience with HIPAA compliance and medical practice systems preferred.
- Ability to lead diverse teams and foster collaborative leadership and shared decision-making.
