Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery in a surgical setting.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee human, fiscal, and other resources to achieve strategic goals.
  • Foster interdisciplinary relationships to enhance patient care and service excellence.
  • Model excellence in patient care and contribute to leadership initiatives.
  • Ensure accreditation and financial responsiveness within the department.
  • Promote a culture of safety and satisfaction for patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage day-to-day operations of clinical nursing and patient care delivery.
  • Develop and mentor personnel to ensure high performance and compliance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement strategic plans.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including Title 22.
  • Lead departmental culture change to improve outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Analyze and address issues to ensure effective patient care delivery.
  • Maintain clinical competence for the specific patient population served.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Current California RN License and BLS provider card required.
  • National certification in clinical area of expertise preferred.
  • Five years of acute hospital experience with progressive leadership required.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations, including Title 22.
  • Effective communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills essential.
  • Ability to manage staff and lead change through collaborative leadership.
  • Physical ability to perform administrative and patient care tasks as needed.
