Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise clinicians and provide hands-on care to patients in a home care setting.
- Demonstrate extensive nursing knowledge to ensure effective patient care and clinician training.
- Collaborate with caregivers and troubleshoot to ensure safe patient care practices.
- Provide constructive feedback to clinicians and caregivers to foster learning and development.
- Engage with the coordination team to facilitate training placements for new graduates.
- Communicate effectively with the home care team and physicians for comprehensive care delivery.
- Utilize creative problem-solving to address challenges in patient care and field nursing activities.
- Maintain stamina and physical ability to handle medical equipment during fieldwork.
Job Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in nursing or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in nursing; 4+ years preferred.
- Proficiency in ventilators, tracheostomy, and G-tube care highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and patient care.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a field-based environment.
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
