Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in general, vascular, breast, and echocardiographic imaging.
- Review patient history and clinical indications to ensure appropriate imaging approaches.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal images while adhering to safety standards.
- Document procedure details and findings in electronic medical records accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain and calibrate sonographic equipment, reporting technical issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including ARDMS, CCI, HIPAA, and state guidelines.
- Stay updated with advances in sonographic techniques and emerging technologies.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Registered by ARDMS or CCI in applicable specialty areas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience; 2 years preferred.
- Experience in hospital or outpatient imaging settings is advantageous.
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail are essential.
