Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in general, vascular, breast, and echocardiographic imaging.
  • Review patient history and clinical indications to ensure appropriate imaging approaches.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal images while adhering to safety standards.
  • Document procedure details and findings in electronic medical records accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain and calibrate sonographic equipment, reporting technical issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including ARDMS, CCI, HIPAA, and state guidelines.
  • Stay updated with advances in sonographic techniques and emerging technologies.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
  • Registered by ARDMS or CCI in applicable specialty areas.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience; 2 years preferred.
  • Experience in hospital or outpatient imaging settings is advantageous.
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail are essential.
