Overview

  • Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, providing essential patient care and administrative support in a dynamic clinical setting.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience during their healthcare journey.
  • Perform a variety of clinical tasks, including obtaining vital signs, administering medications, and conducting diagnostic tests.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Maintain and sterilize medical equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records, supporting efficient and effective healthcare delivery.
  • Work within defined policies and procedures, exercising discretion and prioritization in daily assignments.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide direct patient care, including discussing symptoms, administering vaccines, and performing phlebotomy.
  • Conduct diagnostic screening tests and collect specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Document patient interactions and medical procedures in electronic health records accurately.
  • Assist in administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient communications.
  • Participate in the company's Tuberculosis screening program as part of patient-facing responsibilities.
  • Follow established protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant; 5 years preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in medication and vaccine administration, phlebotomy, and diagnostic testing.
  • Knowledge of value-based care practices, including HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and patient experience metrics.
  • CPR certification and compliance with Tuberculosis screening requirements.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus; must pass proficiency exam.
  • Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
