Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Execute month-end and year-end closings, preparing journal entries and financial reports.
- Monitor construction expenses and project costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts and consolidate financial ledgers for reporting accuracy.
- Maintain project cash flows, ensuring adequate funding and addressing challenges.
- Conduct financial analyses of development projects to assess profitability and risks.
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Perform administrative tasks related to financial recordkeeping and documentation management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; Master's degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on real estate development.
- Proficiency in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and industry-specific standards.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and familiarity with Yardi software preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
