Job Description

Overview

  • Support patients and caregivers in utilizing therapies for rare skeletal conditions.
  • Collaborate with clinics and account teams to ensure therapy initiation and adherence.
  • Provide virtual and in-home education on therapy administration and safety.
  • Contribute to regional and national initiatives, including training and advocacy.
  • Participate in patient educational events to enhance therapy understanding.
  • Empower patients through motivational interviewing and personalized guidance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on therapies and skeletal conditions.
  • Work remotely with travel requirements to support patients in designated regions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapy administration, safety, and efficacy.
  • Collaborate with clinics and sales teams to facilitate therapy initiation.
  • Conduct in-person injection training reinforcement as needed.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and contribute to best practices.
  • Identify and address obstacles to therapy adherence and patient satisfaction.
  • Provide ongoing education on disease management and therapy administration.
  • Engage in leadership opportunities and advocacy group liaison activities.
  • Utilize digital platforms for effective communication and case management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with allied healthcare professional education.
  • Minimum four years of experience in direct patient care for rare diseases.
  • Three years of pharmaceutical experience as a patient educator preferred.
  • Proficiency in motivational interviewing and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills for diverse audiences and team collaboration.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% for patient visits and educational events.
  • Valid driver’s license and successful background check required.
  • Expertise in digital tools such as Teams and Salesforce platforms.
