Job Description

Overview

  • Coordinate mailroom operations for a temporary contract role, ensuring efficient handling of incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for mailroom inquiries, maintaining a professional and organized environment.
  • Support administrative functions related to mailroom operations, including record-keeping and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely distribution of mail and packages.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies and procedures for mailroom operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to staff and external contacts regarding mailroom services.
  • Ensure the mailroom is organized, clean, and equipped with necessary supplies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Sort, distribute, and process incoming and outgoing mail and packages efficiently.
  • Track and maintain records of mailroom activities, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels of mailroom supplies and place orders as needed.
  • Coordinate with courier services to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve issues related to mailroom operations promptly.
  • Assist in implementing improvements to mailroom processes for enhanced efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and security protocols within the mailroom environment.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Arts (AA) degree or equivalent educational background required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in mailroom or related administrative roles.
  • Preferred 3 years of experience in mailroom operations or similar functions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing mailroom activities.
  • Proficiency in using mailroom equipment and software for efficient operations.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with staff and external contacts effectively.
  • Ability to work on-site during standard business hours, 8am to 5pm.
