Job Description

Overview

  • Provide laboratory services under supervision to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Perform laboratory procedures adhering to established standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results to assist in medical diagnoses.
  • Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of laboratory findings.
  • Follow protocols for specimen collection, handling, and processing.
  • Monitor and calibrate laboratory instruments for optimal performance.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior laboratory staff.
  • Support laboratory director in administrative and operational tasks.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control standards in all procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
  • Certified as Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT); ASCP, AMT(HHS).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience; 3 years preferred in clinical laboratory.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Knowledge of laboratory regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in laboratory equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to work night shifts and weekends as scheduled.
