Job Description

Overview

  • Lead clinical operations and policy implementation within a dynamic hospice setting.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and innovate programs to address diverse patient needs effectively.
  • Oversee staff performance, training, and development to maintain high standards.
  • Ensure optimal resource utilization and productivity within the department.
  • Participate in budget preparation and monitor financial performance.
  • Conduct chart reviews to ensure documentation accuracy and compliance.
  • Work closely with senior management on strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Support interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient and family satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Create, revise, and communicate policies to staff and management.
  • Educate staff on policy and procedure updates and standards.
  • Ensure continuity of care across departments and facilities.
  • Monitor resource utilization for patient care and facility needs.
  • Assist in developing programs for specific patient populations.
  • Conduct performance management and provide training for staff.
  • Collaborate with corporate services for operational support.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum six years of healthcare experience; ten years preferred.
  • Three years of managerial or administrative experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of hospice and palliative care practices preferred.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission accreditation and CMS regulations.
  • Proficient in planning, business, and financial management.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet organizational goals effectively.
