Overview

  • The Senior Network Engineer role involves designing and maintaining secure, scalable network infrastructures in a dynamic financial services environment.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure optimal network performance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize expertise in Cisco technologies, firewalls, and routing protocols to support critical business operations.
  • Engage in project management for network and telephony initiatives, ensuring timely and effective implementation.
  • Provide advanced support for network troubleshooting and maintenance, ensuring continuous uptime.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies to recommend improvements to the current network environment.
  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive documentation for network configurations and procedures.
  • Participate in a hybrid work program, balancing remote work with in-office collaboration.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Administer and manage the firm's network and telecommunications systems, ensuring secure and efficient operations.
  • Provide Level 2 and 3 support for IT teams and IPC turret systems.
  • Design, deploy, and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
  • Configure and optimize firewalls for robust security and compliance.
  • Implement network segmentation and security protocols to protect sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate network solutions with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee telecom provisioning processes.
  • Support and maintain Cisco Unified Communications services and AV equipment.
  • Provide rotational on-call support for after-hours and weekend troubleshooting.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in LAN/WAN/MAN management within financial services.
  • Proficiency in Cisco technologies, routing protocols, and firewall configurations.
  • Experience with VPNs, load balancers, and secure remote access solutions.
  • Strong network troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Preferred certifications: CCIE Voice, Routing and Switching, and Cisco Security.
  • Hands-on experience with network automation tools and IPC turrets.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with rotational on-call duties.
