Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of surgical services, ensuring efficient workflow and resource utilization.
  • Develop and implement policies to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Monitor staff performance, providing guidance and support for professional development.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to align departmental goals with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in surgical services leadership; 5 years preferred.
  • Current RN license in Texas or compact state required.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification mandatory.
  • CNOR certification preferred within one year of hire or promotion.
  • Proficient in financial management and resource allocation in healthcare settings.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams effectively.
