Overview
- Lead perioperative services team ensuring safe patient care and operational excellence.
- Oversee multiple surgical departments, including OR, Preop/PACU, PAT, and SPD.
- Manage a team of 110 full-time employees, fostering growth and collaboration.
- Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient and employee engagement.
- Drive compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Develop strategic networks to advance surgical services and patient care.
- Promote consistent positive patient interactions and unparalleled service quality.
- Support program enhancements and growth initiatives for surgical services.
- Ensure fiscal responsibility and proper utilization of financial resources.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Identify and resolve operational challenges within surgical services departments.
- Participate in hospital-wide committees, providing effective communication and representation.
- Coach and mentor staff, fostering professional growth and development.
- Monitor compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
- Develop and implement programs to ensure quality patient care.
- Manage department budgets, capital equipment requests, and financial resources.
- Promote surgical services as the preferred choice for stakeholders.
- Support new strategies to expand patient services and operational growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the organization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years in surgical services leadership; 5 years preferred.
- Current registered nurse licensure in accordance with state regulations.
- Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR) and Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams.
- Proven ability to implement evidence-based practices and quality improvement programs.
- Experience in fiscal management and strategic planning.
