Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Review engagement work papers and tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Supervise and train staff on tax preparation and related processes.
- Research complex tax matters and provide clear recommendations to clients.
- Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional service.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, including billing and fee analysis.
- Identify new business opportunities and assist in expanding client services.
- Provide effective feedback to team members to foster professional development.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards and quality control measures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master of Tax preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of tax experience in public accounting or related field.
- CPA license required; J.D., LL.M, or EA certification accepted.
- Proficiency in S-Corp, Partnership, High Net Worth individual, C-Corp, and Trust taxation.
- Experience supervising and training staff and senior accountants.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet challenging client requirements.
