Overview
- Manage a portfolio of grants and contracts, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and organizational policies.
- Prepare and submit financial reports, budgets, and billing packages to funding sources.
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet project deadlines and audit requirements.
- Provide forecasts and analyses for assigned programs and potential new funding opportunities.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance, invoicing, and reporting activities.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to generate and analyze financial reports.
- Ensure timely follow-ups on outstanding accounts receivable balances.
- Support the organization’s year-end audit and other financial reviews.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Plan and organize contract registration and closeout processes.
- Prepare and submit contract vouchers and billing packages to funders.
- Verify reimbursements align with contract amounts and general ledger accounts.
- Respond to funder requests and escalate critical issues as needed.
- Create detailed Excel schedules and control reports for financial tracking.
- Assist with program audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with FP&A for budget narratives and new budget preparations.
- Analyze large volumes of data using advanced Excel techniques.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial data analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with nonprofit organizations and FE accounting software preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and thoroughness in work.
- Ability to meet deadlines, including flexibility for extended hours during peak times.
