Accountant Associate

Overview

• Manage accounting operations for a dynamic organization with significant real estate investments across the United States.
• Oversee fund management processes, including administrative tasks and financial reporting systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial audits.
• Support tax preparation activities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions during tax season.
• Provide insights into deal structures, terms, and financial implications to support strategic decision-making.
• Contribute to closing financial books and maintaining accurate records for organizational transparency.
• Work closely with the Head of Accounting/Finance and a collaborative team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee fund management processes, including administrative systems and reporting tools.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and support tax preparation activities.
• Collaborate with auditors during annual financial audits to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze deal structures and provide financial insights to support strategic decisions.
• Manage closing of financial books and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Support internal reporting and financial analysis for organizational transparency.
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, preferably in real estate finance.
• Preferred 8 years of experience, including public/private real estate accounting.
• Experience with fund management and financial reporting systems is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and experience with tax preparation.
• Proficiency in dealing with audits and maintaining compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to provide financial insights into deal structures.
• Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively with a dynamic team.
