Job Description

Overview

  • Manage finance and accounting operations for a newly launched private BDC.
  • Collaborate with investment teams to support financial modeling and liquidity monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including SEC filings and SOX 404 standards.
  • Oversee valuation processes and enhance reporting capabilities for efficiency.
  • Prepare comprehensive materials for board meetings and investor presentations.
  • Coordinate audits and manage relationships with third-party administrators.
  • Develop and refine internal controls to maintain compliance and operational integrity.
  • Provide detailed performance analyses and respond to investor inquiries.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate fund accounting workflows and review deliverables for GAAP compliance.
  • Prepare and deliver financial reports for senior management and investors.
  • Monitor compliance with BDC-specific regulatory requirements and maintain RIC qualification.
  • Prepare SEC filings, ensuring adherence to PCAOB standards and deadlines.
  • Support investment teams with financial modeling and liquidity metric updates.
  • Oversee asset valuation processes and coordinate pricing methodologies.
  • Enhance reporting capabilities and automate workflows for operational efficiency.
  • Draft investor presentations and earnings releases in collaboration with IR teams.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA certification with 7–10 years of public and private accounting experience.
  • Proven expertise in BDC accounting and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 820, and SOX 404 compliance.
  • Experience managing relationships with administrators, auditors, and legal counsel.
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with multitasking capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills for engaging with senior management and investors.
