Job Description

Overview

  • Lead credit and collections operations, ensuring timely invoice payments and minimizing credit risk.
  • Develop and implement policies to optimize cash flow and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Analyze financial data to monitor performance and identify high-risk accounts.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of professionals, enhancing their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with finance teams on reconciliations, audits, and system improvements.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships, negotiating payment terms and resolving disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with governing liquor boards and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes within the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Evaluate customer financial health and establish credit limits.
  • Manage credit applications and oversee cash posting processes.
  • Lead collections efforts to minimize overdue accounts and bad debt.
  • Design and implement credit and collection policies to improve cash flow.
  • Analyze delinquent accounts and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Supervise and train collection staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Collaborate with finance on audits, reconciliations, and compliance processes.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and resolve payment disputes effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit and collections management.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team and customer engagement.
  • Ability to travel out-of-state 2-3 times per year as required.
  • Empathetic and hands-on approach to leadership and problem-solving.
