Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Draft detailed mechanical system layouts and design documentation for building systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Prepare mechanical drawings and plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Coordinate with architectural, electrical, and structural teams to ensure design integration and alignment.
  • Incorporate feedback, updates, and revisions into design documents promptly to maintain project momentum.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing technical input and clarifying design requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to firm standards and contribute to overall project quality control.
  • Collaborate with engineers and consultants to achieve project objectives and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain organized documentation and manage multiple project deadlines effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of building mechanical systems, including HVAC and hydronics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills to address project challenges.
