Overview

  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance within a dynamic financial services environment.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies aligned with business objectives and evolving threat landscapes.
  • Collaborate across departments to promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness and adherence to policies.
  • Manage a skilled team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering their growth and technical expertise.
  • Oversee daily security operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, and tool optimization.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards and frameworks.
  • Present cybersecurity updates to leadership, contributing to strategic decision-making processes.
  • Promote the adoption of advanced cybersecurity technologies to proactively address emerging threats.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering their development and ensuring effective collaboration.
  • Monitor and manage security operations, responding to incidents and mitigating vulnerabilities promptly.
  • Ensure optimal configuration and utilization of cybersecurity tools to enhance organizational resilience.
  • Collaborate with departments to enforce security policies and conduct regular compliance audits.
  • Identify cybersecurity risks and lead remediation efforts following assessments and audits.
  • Develop and deliver presentations on cybersecurity updates and strategies to leadership and committees.
  • Implement strategies to address emerging threats and align with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Advocate for the integration of advanced cybersecurity technologies to enhance organizational security posture.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of cybersecurity experience, including 2 years in managerial roles.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Microsoft Purview, SentinelOne, and Splunk.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services regulatory requirements and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are required.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Ability to balance technical expertise with strategic oversight and decision-making.
  • Prior experience in financial services, particularly broker-dealer operations, is preferred.
