Job Description

Overview

  • Lead billing operations ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with firm policies and client guidelines.
  • Utilize advanced analytics to generate insights and prepare comprehensive billing reports.
  • Manage E-billing platforms, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to client-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with finance leadership to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Monitor and reconcile unbilled accounts ensuring timely billing cycles and accurate revenue recognition.
  • Support conflict search and new matter intake processes ensuring data integrity.
  • Build strong relationships with attorneys, clients, and internal departments to resolve billing inquiries.
  • Maintain audit readiness by ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily billing operations ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing.
  • Generate and interpret billing metrics to support financial forecasting and performance tracking.
  • Lead proactive collections efforts coordinating with attorneys and clients to resolve payment delays.
  • Utilize Thomson Reuters 3E and Power BI for advanced data analytics and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, firm policies, and external regulations.
  • Troubleshoot E-billing rejections and ensure compliance with client-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with finance leadership to implement best practices enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support conflict search and new matter intake processes maintaining data integrity.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive law firm billing experience.
  • Deep knowledge of E-billing systems and electronic invoicing processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Thomson Reuters 3E suite and Power BI.
  • Strong command of Excel and familiarity with SQL is a plus.
  • Proven track record in improving billing workflows and enhancing accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
