Overview

  • Play a pivotal role in managing ICU operations, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor a dedicated team of nursing professionals to achieve clinical excellence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and streamline processes.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to maintain high standards of care and compliance.
  • Coordinate resources and staffing to meet the dynamic needs of the ICU environment.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives to elevate patient safety and care standards.
  • Support emergency preparedness and recovery plans within the ICU setting.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and execution of operational enhancements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise daily nursing operations, ensuring adherence to clinical and utilization standards.
  • Monitor and improve the quality and safety of patient care practices and services.
  • Mentor and coach nursing staff to foster professional growth and performance improvement.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to address patient care and operational challenges effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including Nursing Practice Act standards.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet patient care demands and operational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced degrees are advantageous.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical healthcare experience; five years preferred.
  • Active Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting, with strong mentoring skills.
  • Knowledge of patient safety, emergency preparedness, and evidence-based medicine principles.
  • Ability to manage operations within a 24/7 ICU environment effectively.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and quality improvement processes.
