Overview

  • Lead billing operations for a prominent law firm, ensuring efficiency and compliance across all processes.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of billing professionals, fostering collaboration and skill development.
  • Oversee billing systems, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure satisfaction.
  • Administer e-billing platforms, ensuring compliance with client-specific requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end billing processes.
  • Provide strategic guidance to enhance billing operations and support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise daily billing operations, ensuring adherence to firm policies and standards.
  • Lead a team of billing professionals, promoting efficiency and accuracy in invoice preparation.
  • Manage billing systems, addressing technical issues and ensuring data security.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to resolve billing-related challenges effectively.
  • Administer and optimize e-billing platforms, ensuring compliance with specialized billing arrangements.
  • Review pre-bills, process edits, and finalize invoices in various formats.
  • Audit invoices for accuracy and compliance with client-specific billing requirements.
  • Provide training and support to staff on billing systems and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required, preferably in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing management, ideally within a law firm.
  • Proficiency with SurePoint and Intapp billing systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical skills for managing and troubleshooting billing software.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with e-billing platforms and specialized billing arrangements.
