Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of comprehensive employee benefit programs and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant benefits-related laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with vendors to negotiate contracts and assess service quality.
  • Support annual benefit renewals, managing costs and plan designs for competitive offerings.
  • Provide strategic and hands-on leadership in health & welfare, retirement, and absence policies.
  • Work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-office and remote work schedules.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align benefit strategies with organizational goals.
  • Manage one direct report, ensuring effective team operations and support.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design, implement, and administer health & welfare, retirement, and time-off benefit programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all benefits-related laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Select, manage, and assess benefit vendors for optimal service delivery.
  • Support annual benefit renewals, managing vendor negotiations and plan costs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design competitive and cost-effective benefit plans.
  • Manage day-to-day operations and administration of benefit programs and policies.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on benefit-related inquiries.
  • Develop strategies to enhance employee well-being and satisfaction through benefits.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in benefits administration; 10 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in vendor negotiations, 401K administration, and health & welfare plans.
  • Experience managing leave of absence policies and compliance requirements.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a flexible mindset for dynamic environments.
  • Proficiency in Workday and related HR systems is highly desirable.
  • Strategic and hands-on approach to benefits program management.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-office and remote work schedules.
