Overview

  • Join a boutique accounting practice within a law firm specializing in the entertainment industry.
  • Handle diverse accounting tasks, including payroll reconciliation, bill payments, and deposit management.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate benefits and insurance deductions.
  • Supervise junior team members and provide guidance on accounting practices.
  • Engage in extensive data entry during tax season to support reporting needs.
  • Work on-site with potential for hybrid flexibility after one to two years.

  • Utilize analytical skills to review financial reports and ensure accuracy.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Reconcile payroll deductions, including 401K loans and insurance policies.
  • Manage bill payments and deposit transactions efficiently.
  • Analyze financial reports to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills.
  • Perform data entry tasks during tax season to support compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure proper deductions and benefits management.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for financial transactions.
  • Support the accounting practice with various administrative tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience; 20 years preferred.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills for payroll and benefits reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in data entry and report analysis during tax season.
  • Experience supervising junior team members and providing mentorship.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work on-site with potential hybrid options in the future.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems; experience with Insperity not required.
