Overview

  • The Tax Accountant role offers the opportunity to contribute to corporate tax compliance and reporting.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic finance team in a hybrid work environment.
  • Prepare federal and state corporate income tax and partnership returns.
  • Engage in tax provision calculations and quarterly estimates.
  • Support tax audits and respond to state tax notices effectively.
  • Contribute to tax research and special projects as needed.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting tasks.
  • Work with SAP and Oracle systems to streamline tax processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare federal and multistate corporate income tax and partnership returns.
  • Calculate book-tax differences and state apportionment figures.
  • Assist in annual tax provision calculations and quarterly estimates.
  • Perform tax depreciation and amortization calculations.
  • Prepare tax account reconciliations and respond to state tax notices.
  • Support federal and state audit information requests.
  • Conduct tax research and contribute to various tax-related projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of corporate income tax experience, including federal and multistate tax return preparation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including v-lookups and pivot tables.
  • Experience with SAP and/or Oracle systems is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and tax regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
