Job Description

Overview

  • Manage commercial construction projects, including interiors and ground-up developments, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, maintaining alignment with organizational goals.
  • Supervise project teams, including contractors and subcontractors, to ensure efficient workflow and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, and progress, implementing corrective actions as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges during project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with municipal, K12, and civic construction standards and regulations.
  • Utilize estimating experience to provide accurate cost projections and support decision-making processes.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members to promote collaboration and project success.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to achieve objectives within constraints.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Oversee procurement processes, ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders, providing updates on milestones and challenges.
  • Lead project meetings, fostering communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure construction standards are maintained.
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate solutions to maintain project momentum and stakeholder satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction project management; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in estimating practices, with the ability to provide accurate cost projections.
  • Experience managing municipal, K12, or civic construction projects is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of construction standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills to manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Ability to work on-site and oversee project execution directly.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools to streamline operations.
