Job Description

Overview

  • Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, medication administration, specimen collection, and diagnostic tests.
  • Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure quality patient care.
  • Maintain examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment following standard procedures.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records systems.
  • Deliver direct patient care within certification scope and organizational policies.
  • Work under minimal direction with latitude for prioritization and timing of tasks.
  • Adhere to company policies, including participation in the Tuberculosis screening program.
  • Engage in local travel as required, with mileage reimbursement provided.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Administer medications and vaccines, ensuring compliance with medical protocols.
  • Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for diagnostic purposes.
  • Conduct diagnostic screening tests and report findings accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of examination rooms and medical equipment.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient interactions and medical procedures.
  • Support organizational goals by adhering to defined quality standards.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance professional skills and knowledge.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree or equivalent educational background.
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with CPR certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience, with 2 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in medication administration and vaccine handling.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
  • Ability to work on-site Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
